Join Winemaker, Georg Lingenfelder from the Lingenfelder Estate and O’Briens Wine Director, Lynne Coyle, Master of Wine

German winemaker, Georg Lingenfelder will join O’Briens Wine Director, Lynne Coyle Master of Wine for an evening of great conversation and fantastic wines.

The Lingenfelder family has been following a hands-off approach in winemaking ever since 1520. This is why they promise that all of their estate wines are: hand-picked, naturally fermented and without any fining agents.

To secure your spot, purchase this wine-tasting case and join the tasting on the 8th of February at 7pm. On the Monday before the event, O’Briens will send you a Zoom link to the tasting. If you cannot make the tasting on the night, don’t worry as we will send you a link to the video and you can watch it at your leisure.

The Lingenfelders have grown grapes in the Pfalz region of southwest Germany for 500 years and an incredible 14 generations. Today, the estate is managed by Georg Lingenfelder and his father Rainer, (pictured here) both regular visitors to Ireland and the O’Briens Wine Festival.

The family crafts a range of delicious, natural wines through a careful minimalist approach to winemaking. The warm, dry Pfalz summers are ideal for growing the traditional aromatic German grape varieties – RieslingGewürztraminer, Scheurebe and Dornfelder – that the Lingenfelders love.

The labels on the Vineyard Creatures series, including Bird Label Riesling and Fox Label Dornfelder, tell you all you need to know about the family. Much like the Lingenfelders, they’re full of colour and personality… and put nature right in the centre of things.

Join O’Briens Wine on Thursday 8th February at 7pm. Tickets cost €60* (Includes delivery. Available to purchase online only.) RRP €71.30 SAVE €11.30.
