Women In Wine Expo 2024 Comes to Porto – Early Bird Tickets On Sale Now

This month it has been announced that the Women in Wine Expo will take place in Portugal this year. From the 8th to the 10th of May 2024, the WIWE will gather together in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Porto, famous for its history of producing port wine.

Women in wine from around the world are invited to join the expo, to share their stories, network and exchange best practices. The program is a work in progress, but the kick-off will be in Vila Nova de Gaia. On day two of the WIWE, attendees will visit a specific region and learn about Portuguese products and everything that comes with winemaking in the region.

The event will also include a conference which will be held at WOW (World of Wine), one of the most unique wine districts in the world. The Women In Wine Expo will close with a tasting on Friday 10th May, where guests will be joined by other wine producers, dignitaries and country representatives.

Ahead of the WIWE, Wine Spirit Women spoke to founder Senay Ozdemir who commented,

At the Women in Wine Expo this year, we will dive into Portuguese wines (lots of ports of course!) but it is also with another reason that we chose for this country. Portugal is by far the world’s largest cork-producing country. At our event, professionals will explain and demonstrate how this natural product has changed our lives for the better. This unique, 100% natural, product gives rise to a highly sustainable industry. No other natural material, nor one made in the laboratory, can replicate the unique properties of cork. Come and discover with us the incredible world of cork!

This year’s conference is possible with the help of Taylor’s Port, which is the main sponsor of the Women in Wine Expo. Taylor’s Port wants to contribute to bringing like-minded women together to enjoy an event of business, education, networking, fun and sisterhood. Through the event, the Women In Wine Expo will communicate more about this powerhouse producer, its wines, DEI programs, and its global initiative for a sustainable wine industry.

Regular tickets for the Women in Wine Expo are €450 per person. Until 19 February, we will offer early bird tickets at €375.
