Last month, Stillgarden Distillery opened a new coffee shop at their Inchicore distillery Serving Cloud Picker coffee, they are offering a delicious array of pastries, cakes, and snacks, available for both sit-in and takeaway. Wine Scholar Guild invite you to join them on the trip of a lifetime in April 2025 as they visit France on their Alsace Wine Tour. They host a number of immersive wine tours to several different regions each year available to both members and non-members.

In her latest culinary adventures Irish Times restaurant critic Corinna Hardgrave visits five star hotel Ballyfin. Following its 3 Michelin key rating, Hardgrave gave the hotel restaurant a rave review. Last week Corinna took home the prize for best restaurant critic at the Irish Food Writing Awards – many congratulations!

Great news for wine lovers…Polish Wine is now available in Ireland! Blackrock Cellar is the first store in Ireland to stock Polish wine and Sea Shanty is the first restaurant to serve Polish wine. The Irish Times released their extensive list of “Ireland’s 100 Great Places to Eat”. From casual cafés to fine dining restaurants you’ll certainly eat well on your travels around the emerald isle.

Aoife Carrigy and Cathal McBride will join Daróg Wine Bar in Galway on Wednesday, 27th November for an evening discussing ‘Writing on Wine’. Tickets are €30 per person and includes a curated wine flight. At this year’s Irish Food Writing Awards Aoife won the award for Writing on Sustainability. What a fantastic achievement!

The Women in Wine Expo returns in 2025 and they have announced their next location as Tokaji, Hungary.

This historic region, rich in heritage, has been a cherished domain of noble families, queens, princes, and emperors throughout the ages. The next Northern Ireland Wine and Spirits Institute tasting will take place on Tuesday, November 12th at the Ramada Encore Hotel, Belfast, at 8.00 PM. This is a free-flowing, unseated event and will be held in two time slots – 5 to 6:30pm and 7 to 8:30pm – at the Fumbally Stables.

In Longford, Cloughan Farm invite you to a wine & food pairing evening with Brigid O’Hora aka Brideys Wine Chats on November 29th. In this interactive culinary demonstration you will learn how to train your palate and tastebuds in order to successfully match food and wine.

On November 30th, A Wine Idea will host an Albariño Wine Festival showcasing the wines of the Rias Baixas region in Spain at Bewley’s Grafton Street. Wine lovers are invited to explore these wines in a relaxed, walk-around tasting format, taking place from 2 to 6 pm.

JN Wine will present a Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite Virtual Tasting on 4th December.

Neighbourhood Wine will run their annual Christmas Wine Fair on Sunday 8th December. There will be a selection of over 30 wines to sample, from classic Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Rioja to pét nat, orange wine, natural wine and more.
